What are the advantages and disadvantages of living in Charlotte, North Carolina?
I am interested in possibly living in Charlotte, North Carolina after the year 2010. If I choose to relocate there, I will be a single individual living possibly living on my own and I could have no family and/or friends around. What are the advantages and disadvantages of living in Charlotte, North Carolina as a single individual?

- Advantages: 1. 2.5 hours from gorgeous mountains and 4 from the beach. 2. Agreeable weather 3. I work in an industry that contributes to and aids the growth of an area. This city will be the size of Atlanta by then. 4. Great nightlife and a pretty safe downtown (uptown) 5. Lots of transpants from other area. I rarely meet people that are actually from here. 6. Sports. Panthers in particular 7. There are some very cool, thinking and REAL communities here. Noda should be fully flushed out by 2010. Great neighborhood and a true community. Disadvantages 1. This may be an advantage, depending how you look at it. Church and family is a big deal here. Along with that comes an load of hypocrisy. I mostly see it as a networking source for alot of people. 2. I worry about how segregated this area seems to be. 3. Again depending...there are Republicans everywhere. 4. Schools suck. 5. City council is no wise men's club. That it. Good luck.
